STATEMENT: ACC Action on Super Tuesday Results

ACC Action Statement on Super Tuesday Results

With Super Tuesday behind us, it is now evident that Donald J. Trump will be the 2024 Republican nominee for President.

During President Trump’s first term, his Administration passed historic bipartisan investments in our national parks, bolstered nuclear energy research and development, and pushed for American energy dominance. In 2019, our team visited the White House to witness a presidential address on energy and the environment. We were particularly proud to support the signing of the Great American Outdoors Act in 2020.

ACC Action will do as we have always done: advocate for commonsense, pro-American solutions leveraging free enterprise for a clean and healthy environment. If former President Trump is victorious in his campaign, ACC Action’s work of advancing conservative environmental solutions will be critical. We need further progress to ensure all Americans have access to clean air and water, as well as reliable, affordable, and increasingly clean energy. We see a significant opportunity to collaborate in cutting red tape to unleash American innovation, competing with China, and asserting energy leadership on the world stage.

It is imperative for the Republican nominee to lay out a common-sense climate agenda, something Mr. Trump has historically refrained from. To win the support of young voters and independents up and down the United States, we urge Mr. Trump to embody Teddy Roosevelt’s conservative environmental leadership and leave a positive legacy.
